After a year of social distancing and stay-at-home regulations caused by the ongoing pandemic, space has become increasingly important to renters. To see where apartment dwellers can get the most bang for their buck, they looked at how much space they can rent on a budget of $1,100, which is close to the state s average monthly rent of $1,066, in 63 Michigan cities.
Their
findings show renters in Detroit get the least apartment space in the state. Here s why:
Finding a spacious rental on a budget proves to be hard in Detroit. For $1,100, apartments in the city offer 790 sq. ft. on average, ranking as the second location in the Detroit Metro Area where renters get the least space for this much money.
