Washington, March 3 : The United States imposed sanctions against two leaders of Yemen s Houthi rebels, accusing them of attacking civilians and bordering nations.
The US Department of Treasury in a statement on Tuesday announced sanctions against Mansur Al-Sa adi, the Houthi Naval Forces Chief of Staff, and Ahmad Ali Ahsan al-Hamzi, the commander of Yemen s Houthi-aligned Yemeni Air Force and Air Defence Forces, Xinhua news agency reported.
The statement said the two were responsible for orchestrating attacks by Houthi forces impacting Yemeni civilians, bordering nations, and commercial vessels in international waters.
