Cambridge to offer grants to eligible nonprofit organizations

The city of Cambridge Community Benefits Advisory Committee announced that it is now accepting applications for $10,000 grants for up to 100 eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
At its Feb. 8 meeting, the Cambridge City Council approved a recommendation by city manager Louis A. DePasquale for the appropriation of an additional $1 million to support a new round of grants for eligible nonprofit organizations.
Applications for eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are now available and will be accepted through Feb. 22. Grant agreements will be awarded to provide services to vulnerable Cambridge residents during the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery. Services must respond to the needs identified in the Cambridge Community Needs Assessment and are subject to the requirements of the Community Benefits Advisory Committee Ordinance, Municipal Code Chapter 2.127. Cambridge Housing Stabilization Program accepting applications

The city of Cambridge announced that it has begun accepting new applications as of Jan. 11 as part of the next round of funding for the COVID-19 Housing Stabilization Program.
Launched in July 2020, the city of Cambridge COVID-19 Housing Stabilization Program serves to provide short term financial assistance to individuals and families in Cambridge who are experiencing housing instability due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 health crisis.
This program represents the city of Cambridge’s continuation of COVID-19 related resource disbursement for housing assistance. To date, $1.2 million has been committed, supporting 225 Cambridge households with six months of assistance. This program is being continued with the support of additional CARES Act funds.
