Of the best thing that is weve done. Keeping in mind, at the end of the day, all of us knows this. The straw that breaks the camels bank with regard to failing institutions typically is capital. Its just pushing a button on a computer. And frankly, if we get corrective action at least close to right, those two things alone would have a very, very beneficial effect. Not just on special banks, but on other Financial Intermediaries as well. Well, you know, i agree with the premise of the krekcorrecti action to the statute is very ineffective. I disagree that corrective action is a method of protecting the Banking System in times of financial collapse. Theres two ways one can look at the Banking System. I really want a system that is going to be a hundred percent safe and not have failures. And taking that to its extreme, you have a system that has a hundred percent liquid assets. It has very high capital ratios. The trouble with that type of bank which will never fail is youll never loan
Governor advocating on behalf of the people. Were sitting in the first studio of frank lloyd wright. Wright was actually born in Richland Center in wisconsin which is not too far from here. And he was, his family took him first to massachusetts for a time, and then they returned to madison. And he grew up in madison, spent his teenage years there and attended some of, very briefly, a few years, at the university of wisconsin before he decided to take off and find his fortune in chicago. Decided he should come out to this part of the country which is where her family was, the lloyd jones, welsh pioneers, and spent his summers here. So he spent his teenage summers in this valley and on these hills, and thats where he got two things. He got his love of nature and his understanding of nature, and he also got his understanding of the topography of these hills. Any act, the result of which that the thing you object to by virtue of submitting your virtue on a piece of paper that triggers the government that results in the provision of the coverage that you object to and it will will be this act. How will that be and all you have to do is push a button, lets say, that will bring it into the same play that brought in to play by your objection and if you press that, it is a different act in your pressing that that will bring into play the government financing of the things that you objected. And if that were the case you would say when we pressed that button we are facilitating and bringing about the very things that we object to, we are complicit. I dont know that we would, first of all, by pressing the button with whom we have contracted to arrange for the services, we might not be a part of that. If the pressing a button is not substantially different. This is the kind of thing, these are difficult and philosophical and moral lessons and im no
Get the turks and the turks wont do it unless we go after assad. So are we getting sucked deeper and deeper, and back to the original question, what should we do, jim . Well, i mean, i think theres no doubt that isis eventually will be driven out of the Population Centers in iraq or at least lose control of them. I mean, they may go underground but they will lose control because theyre a minority of the sunni population which is a minority of the iraqi population, and so the kurds and the shia between them with whatever marginal help they get from the sunnis are eventually going to retake that territory with our assistance, and i dont think that means that you have to put american infantry on the ground. There are boots on the ground. There will be forward observers and advisers and some of them may get killed, but thats a different level of engagement. The real question is syria. I mean, this group emerged out of syria. Many of them are iraqis, but essentially emerged out of syria. It
The goal of assuring Economic Growth as part of it, particularly as it is felt by as Many Americans as possible . Is that the tile of goal we should be forcing . Yeah, you want the economy to grow and you want everybody to benefit from that. And when we did this bill, as i said earlier, we had four principles, these are the things you should consider. That the market is a more efficient allocator of resources, the ways and Means Committee and finance figured out we should do this or that activity. Second equal incomes should pay equal tax. It is not fair to have your neighbor pay less because they have a particular tax benefit. And third those who have more should pay more. The progressive principle. And fourth if you can simplify it, please simplify it. To me those are the four principles. The Economic Issues and growth you would want people to move up and say to people at the top you have to pay a little bit more. So i think those are the principles that i would use going forward. Yo
