Rooms normally filled with the murmur of voices and smell of delicious foods are empty; stages usually brilliant with lights beaming down on performers are dark and outdoor music venues remain silent all due to a national pandemic that had crippled any attempts at fundraising for local organizations.
Due to COVID-19 protocols on social distancing and gathering limits, many groups, agencies, and organizations that depend on fundraising to supplement revenue for services have had to get creative. Most have taken advantage of holding virtual or online events, while others have canceled events outright.
