The multi-story construction project on the northwest corner of Martin Way and Pattison Street NE is taking shape. Thanks to Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) and its partners, our community is gaining much needed housing for those most in need. Phase 2 of Unity Commons is well on its way. When you drive by, you’ll see the intersection is looking dramatically different.
Housing and wrap-around services were secured at Maple Court Enhanced Shelter in Lacey for the eight (8) remaining individuals located on the Department of Enterprise Services (DES)-owned property near Department of Ecology’s Lacey headquarters on Desmond Drive. Currently, three (3) individuals have transitioned to Maple Court and three (3) individuals are in the process of transitioning.
At the City of Lacey (City), we’ve developed programs, many of which have continued to evolve over the past few years, to meet the needs of the community. One of our programs is the Community Resource Unit (CRU).
