Michelle is the board president of casa d casa de las madres. As a member of the board for over 10 years she has helped guide us through the unprecedented growth. As chair of finance committee she helped strengthen the position to creativity and passion for ending Domestic Violence in San Francisco. I will hand it over to michelle. I started volunteering about 15 years ago and joined the board 10 years ago. In year i was honored to be made the board president when our previous president retired. During my time with lacasa i have seen the Organization Grow and some impressive milestones. One thing that made me proud is the unparalleled ability for our organization to partner with Service Providers in San Francisco. One of the things that im sure you all read about, which was connected to the flooding, but if the house wasnt flooded, some of the houses experienced sewage coming up through the houses. We had residents asking our office was it safe to clean up. I actually dont know if we this is something well discuss through the hearing, but is that d. B. I. , department of public health, p. U. C. , where is the appropriate contact for residents to find out if its safe for them to clean up. So, yeah, i just wanted to share some comments here. The hearing on the implementation of the affor affe homes for families now and the partnership between the city and county with the San Francisco with the unified School District to finance projects streamlined under the initiative. I want to say this is exactly why this committee exists, to be able to talk about an issue that really cannot happen without all of us in communication and on the same page, and i know that

Ive been doing any soulfood cooking. I have a fasters degree in political science, Public Policy and i have a bachelors degree in psych and sociology and i work for connor house, a nonprofit organization. We serve Mental Health and Substance Abuse as well as supportive housing, as well as i work on the health and Safety Committee and i work on the Budget Committee for connor house. And so im here today to get a chance to serve on the committee
