injured at the phoenix multicultural school. apparently some sort of explosive device was set off in the hallway. there are 500-some students at the school but they were all inside their class rooms. they were evacuated. a 14-year-old has been apprehended and questioned in connection with this. here is an aerial picture of the phoenix multicultural school. in the middle of winter time in detroit. apparently this happened at about 8:30 this morning. a 14-year-old boy set off some sort of explosion or explosive device that was made out of household cleaning chemicals and exploded in the hallway of the building. all the students were inside classrooms and no one was hurt. police are now talk iing to the 14-year-old boy who was allegedly involved. all the students, of course, were removed from the school and an investigation is under way in terms of how the child how the 14-year-old brought the device into the school.
