A bill that targets employment restrictions for minors between the ages of 16 and 17, allowing them to work the same number of hours as a person who is 18 or older has passed in the Florida legislature.
Florida House Republican Linda Chaney's proposed bill, HB 49, would allow minors aged 16 and 17 to work before 6 a.m. and after 11 p.m., and for more than 30 hours during the school year.
