ANZ provides financial support for customers dealing with mouse plague in regional Australia
ANZ today announced it would provide financial support to help customers and businesses in New South Wales and southern Queensland affected by the mouse plague.
Fuelled by a bumper harvest season, millions of mice have wreaked havoc across large swathes of agricultural land in regional New South Wales and southern Queensland, causing significant damage to property and crops.
ANZ encourages customers affected to contact their dedicated agribusiness banker when they’re ready to discuss their needs and to understand the range of financial support measures that might assist, which might include the waiving of fees and temporarily pausing loan repayments.

Australian farmers and factories are facing a severe attack by millions of mice, as farmers struggle to protect their crops from the worst rodent plagues in decades.
A video posted on Tuesday night appears to show some of the mice raining from the sky. Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) journalist Lucy Thackray shared the video, which shows both dead and live mice falling to the ground in the Australian state of New South Wales.
