Lansing has more than its share of abandoned legacy buildings, from empty schools to old factories and cavernous K-Marts, but the 1924 Masonic Temple building at 217 S. Capitol Ave. downtown is in a class by itself.
Last month (November, 2023), I wrote an article where I identified the name of the head demon I believed represented the USA today, which is "Columbia", a female deity that also goes by "Lady Liberty" or "Freedom" in modern times since the USA was founded in 1776.
