The native Chilean earned an engineering degree in his home country before moving to the U.S. on what he describes as a “gut feeling,” something that has served him well in other avenues of his life, including meeting his first wife, navigating her care as she died, finding purpose in volunteering and eventually remarrying.
The city will move ahead with the purchase of the Loveland Resource Center building, after the City Council approved a budget appropriation for the deal at its Tuesday meeting.
Sarah McKeen saw her share of struggles as a young single mother, but thanks to support from the Loveland nonprofit community, she was able to earn her master’s degree and enter a career in social work. McKeen is now hoping to return the favor by fighting for affordable housing, behavioral health reforms and more in the Colorado House of Representatives.
