carley: that s not stopping him from raising money for orphans and running his own. the founder of the house of james joins us now. good morning to you. we understand that you and your foster homes have been greatly impacted by this war. tell us how. yeah, well, obviously with the war it s been hard to get groceries and things like that, and fuel has been an issue. my family and i evacuated february 15th, before the war happened, and one of our homes was able to evacuate a week after the war started. todd: how did you manage to escape? well, i kept getting phone calls from the state department telling us there is an imminent invasion, they suggested we leave. we really didn t think it was going to happen, so my family kept on having the state say, leave, leave. i thought if we took a two week vacation poland, we have return

Mary Ann James, 78, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in her home.
She was born January 10, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of George and Marjorie (Best) Massey, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her life partner and best friend, Jim Bryant.
Surviving are three sons, Jackie James and his wife Melinda of Paola, Kansas, Travis James of Eagle Rock, Missouri, and Jerry James and his wife Dana of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Bob Massey and his wife Jan of Eagle Rock, Missouri; and six grandchildren, Sydney Zurowski and her husband John and Tyler, Savannah, Justin, Sawyer and Hunter James.
