A new housing plan has been proposed in Oakmont with some properties expected to cost more than $1 million.
Oakmont Place, a 12-unit one-floor patio home development off Hulton Road by Eleventh Street, was introduced to council at Tuesday night’s workshop meeting.
Landscape architect Steven Victor of Victor-Wetzel Associates and attorney Jonathan Kamin delivered the presentation on behalf of developer, Cypress Partners.
The area in question is the 4.5-acre site of the former Massaro Mansion property. The three-story white-brick, 15,000-square-foot mansion was built in 1904. It was demolished years ago and property has sat vacant for at least five years.

Carrie Delrosso, a Republican, won her campaign in Pennsylvania’s 33rd House District by defeating House Minority Leader Frank Dermody, a Democrat, to capture the seat.
In Ohio’s 75th House District, Gail Pavliga won her election, flipping the seat to the GOP after running a campaign on solving the opioid crisis in the district.
Delrosso and Pavliga were among the many victories the GOP is citing as part of Republicans’ general down-ballot success Nov. 3, when the party held onto majorities in all 59 legislative state chambers it controlled going into the election, while winning state House and Senate majorities in New Hampshire and flipping the Alaska House of Representatives.
