Had very important conversations today. This was part of my ongoing commitment to hear from all sides of this issue. I was surprised to learn that people with 20 or 30 years of experience in this area from institutions had never been invited to have a conversation about this. This was also a really emotionally draining day. Its an incredibly difficult topic, but nothing compared to what the student have gone through. I saw a lot of pain today, but i also saw a lot of determination and resolve. I have two daughters and two sons, and as a mother, as a grandmother i can only imagine the horrors that student and families have endured around this issue. But im struck by the courage of these student, the courage to come forward and share their stories, and i want to thank each of them for having the conversation and for wanting to be part of the solution. Spouse when you are negotiating to buy a car or a house or a brother or sister. So it is a how to deal with people saying and the essence is that you have to relate and you have to know where you end up with decency and you have to have a certain cultural scale. So the book is about a lot of negotiations as ambassador and governor. And sharks are not easy to deal with and its important you relate to that chart to get what you want.
