(Al Drago/Getty Images) WASHINGTON The House Armed Services Committee is creating a new subcommittee for the next session of Congress as a way to focus energy on the oversight of the military’s use of digital technologies, lawmakers announced Wednesday. The new Cyber, Innovative Technologies, and Information Systems Subcommittee, which will be led by Rep. Jim Langevin, D-R.I., will cover cybersecurity, cyber operations, cyber forces, information technology and systems, science and technology programs and policy, research and development, artificial intelligence, electromagnetic spectrum policy, electronic warfare policy and software acquisition policy.
