“I’m on three acres of land with lots of maintenance: trees to trim and prune and so on. It’s too much for one lady on her own.” Robyn, who had been with her jeweller husband for 53 years, said he had always been interested in building things. “Just a couple of months after we moved into a house in 1968, he knocked the front wall out and built a staircase. A year or two after that, he built a huge jewellery workshop, a concrete block building. It was like a little house.”
