what my great colleagues in the house who have been sitting there overnight on the committee hearing that ended moments ago for 24 hours they sat and listened to overwhelming testimony by texans that say, don t take away my freedom to vote. what we have lots of examples of because we have lots of pictures is people standing in really long lines to vote. we have some texas counties where people had to drive or be taken from one side of the county to the other. i live in manhattan where i vote one and a half blocks from my house, so these things don t resonate with me. i think that might be part of the problem. for many millions of americans, trouble voting does not resonate with them so they don t understand the crisis we re facing. this is about chipping away at the right to vote for some of our most vulnerable texans. the disability community had a big press conference reese ebbettly saying, hey recently saying, hey, this bill is going to make it harder for us to vote. people of
