The Dish: Adelaide restaurant debuts at L'Auberge Del Mar

Print Adelaide, a new restaurant on the ocean-facing patio at L’Auberge Del Mar resort in Del Mar, has opened for all-day service. The seafood-focused restaurant held its soft opening in April following a renovation at the downtown Del Mar resort. It replaces the former Coastline restaurant. Adelaide’s executive chef, Nick Green, said his menu is a reflection of his life and travels. Raised in Seattle, Green and his wife, a sommelier, ran a bed-and-breakfast inn and farm in Washington’s San Juan Islands, where he enjoyed cooking the region’s fresh seafood and produce. Sideyard BBQ in Barrio Logan officially opened in November 2020, just a few weeks before the stay-at-home order. The whole concept was hatched as a response to the pandemic restrictions, since they had a patio area they could use. So they delayed the opening of their HottMess Woodfired Pizza indoor restaurant to April 2021 and moved forward with Sideyard BBQ. It’s part of the 40,000 square-foot “Acre of Awesome,” an eco-friendly neighborhood dining and imbibing destination also home to Thorn Street Brewing Co. and ReBru Spirits. At Sideyard BBQ they are smoking up Texas-style BBQ favorites, including brisket, pulled pork and turkey. They are currently open weekends.

Brew to Booze: ReBru "Recrafts" Waste Beer into Small-Batch Spirits

San Diego ReBru Spirits, a new employee-owned microdistillery producing small-batch spirits exclusively derived from high-quality, out-of-code and overstock craft beer, is pleased to announce the launch of its debut portfolio, including ReBru Spirits Gin, Vodka, and limited-edition Sweetcane Peppermint Whiskey in 375 ml and 750 ml bottles.
