Michael Gasek, bought his winning “500X the Cash” ticket at the Fruitville Texaco gas station at 19 East Road in Sarasota, off of Fruitville Road, That is the Texaco, across from Sun N Fun, east of 75. He chose to take the winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.
FDOT says their detailed analysis has found the best option is to replace the existing Cortez Road bridge is with a 65-foot, high-level fixed bridge. FDOT says the other options included: a no-build repair, a rehabilitation alternative, a low-level drawbridge and a 35-food mid-level drawbridge.
