The police in Kano State confirmed the arrest of 12 illegal immigrants from Mali and Niger Republic and 33 other suspected criminals.The Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Usaini-Gumel, made this known while addressing newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.The suspects, Usaini-Gumel said, were arrested to rid the state of all forms of crimes and criminalities."The illegal immigrants which consist of seven Malians and five Nigerien Nationals deportees.

Twelve foreign identity criminals deported from Saudi Arabia, have been arrested at their hideout in Kano. Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Usaini Gumel, who paraded them on Wednesday, identified them as, "12 illegal immigrants from Mali and Niger Republics."
