Areas of Whitner Street, a portion of Main Street and some parking lots will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate the event.
Azalea Festival
The downtown Pickens event kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m. with a cruise-in on Main Street followed up with live music at 6:30 p.m. from Bettle at the amphitheater. Amusement rides are available at Legacy Square from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Saturday features a 5K race and the official opening ceremony for the festival at 10 a.m. Arts and craft vendors, nonprofits and local businesses will be set up throughout downtown until 6 p.m.
