When other countries and foreign businesses steal our trade secrets, they are stealing our ideas. They are stealing our innovation. Most importantly, they are stealing our jobs. Thats one of the areas in which they had the least support, and theyve gotten the least insight. Theyre struggling with, how do i deal with whose kids native language is not english. That is a weak zone ive seen in my reporting. Not to mention kids with special needs. Kids far behind academically. Absolutely. Chris, is this your experience as well . Yeah. Its my experience with whatever state standards weve had in the past as well. I do think that we have a real challenge as a condition tri about what do we do with kids that are below grade level, our current testing structure tests at grade level. So how do we make sure were scaffolding so children can advance and were measuring growth, not just as part of our accountability system. I think these are all things that need to be looked at by states to make sure that special needs students and kids who are behind academically get there.
