Hotel lobby between multiple officers and three suspects. Sgt. Gary lang, Urbandale Police department shortly after 4 this morning, our officers were tripped to the holiday inn at 4800 merle hay road on a drug complaint. But when police arrived, two women and a man started fighting with the officers near the main entrance. Sgt. Gary lang, Urbandale Police department shortly after they got there, a scuffle started out with a male subject. He ended up firing off one round during the scuffle and our officers returned fire. Police say that man died at the scene. And during the scuffle, two women ran away. Several other Police Departments were called as backup, and helped arrest the women about half a mile down the road.
