Born in the Philippines, Gopiao migrated to the United States in 1984 and was inspired to join the hospitality industry by his parents, who owned a bakeshop, restaurant and were members of the Hotel & Restaurant Association. Gopiao began his career in banquet operations and continued to work in sales, convention services, and food and beverage teams for various Omni Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International properties. Most recently, Gopiao held roles as director of food and beverage at Omni Nashville Hotel and director of event management at Los Angeles Airport Marriott. In his leisure time, Gopiao enjoys golf and traveling, where he delights in exploring historical, hidden gems and dining
