On this day, 8 years ago, April 12, 2013 Kobe Bryant tore his Achilles during the matchup against the Warriors and instead of sitting out and heading back to the locker room. He thugged it out, got to the free throw line and knocked down 2 free throws before his season was over. I remember watching that game and praying it was nothing serious and he made it seem like it wasn t by showing his toughness. When it came out it was his achilles, I couldn t believe how he managed to continue. Kobe was a competitor and left it all on the court, that right there was just another moment of his toughness mentally on the court. RIP KOBE.
