strikes against iran-backed targets in iraq and syria in retaliation for a drone attack that killed three american soldiers. here s the first video we re seeing from the region, an iraqi security official said a u.s. air strike targeted a weapons warehouse and three houses belonging to hezbollah in anbar province. it happens the same day that president biden attending the arrival of troops from jordan. forces conducted the air strikes against iran s islamic revolutionary guard force and afitiated militia groups. they struck more than 85 targets with numerous aircraft to include long-range bombers flown from the united states. president biden released a statement saying in part, quote, our response began today. it will continue at times in places of our choosing. the united states does not seek conflict in the middle east or anywhere else in the world. but let all those who might seek to do us harm know this. if you harm an american, we will respond. let me bring in nbc news c
