hello and welcome to the programme broadcasting to viewers in the uk and around the world. we begin with the news that the search for the oceangate submersible in the north atlantic is over. the us coast guard has confirmed that the vessel suffered a catastrophic loss of pressure and there are no survivors. the five people on board were on a mission to view the wreck of the titanic. rescue experts say that the tail cone of the vessel has been spotted on the sea bed, not far from the wreck. much of the rescue effort was coordinated in boston, where we can join our correspondent carl nasman. carl, thank you so much forjoining us on the show. we are starting to hear some other developments coming out of the navy. what have they had to say? we are, these are developments that might help us piece together the timing of when this catastrophe might have taken place. this is being reported by our partners in cbs news and they say the us navy detected, quote, an acoustic anomaly con

bill: a plot to get to. shannon: this vehicle that bill mentioned has now made it to the floor of the ocean and we talk about these banging noises. they say they are in the area where they were heard. although other people say sometimes the sounds echo from very great distances. so it is tough to say. this is part of the last ditch effort to rescue these passengers in the final hours. bill: great question coming up. the vessel went missing sunday with a dive to the titanic. the search has grown roughly twice the size of the state of connecticut at this point. martha: the experts say the sub may have drifted. it depends on what its navigational ability is at this point whether it has battery and technology to control it in any direction. they also say it may have attached or hooked onto part of the wreckage. there are many pieces of the stern, the bow of the titanic and all sorts of pieces that fell off during that wreck. that s one of the problems in trying to find
collapse begins. now, i-95 is now closed in both directions here in northeast philadelphia. state leaders say a tanker truck caught fire under the overpass and the heat caused a portion of i-95 s northbound lane to come crashing down. this compromising the southbound lanes. last night demolition crews started chipping oea way at the wreckage. one car is still stuck under the rumble a long haul to repair one of the busiest highways in pennsylvania. retired philadelphia police sergeant telling fox news this morning some drivers including himself drove over those southbound lanes with seconds to spare. i saw the black smoke, figured it was a car on fire on 95 in philadelphia. not unusual. as i was driving, realized i had to go through it because i was already past the exit. i hit a bump that was essentially the road getting ready to collapse. thank god state police closed it down shortly after. it was literally like driving off a curb and that s how heavy it was. buttigieg s
