The state’s COVID-19 Incident Manager, Dr. Andrew Obi, who disclosed this to journalists in Benin City, said the event will bring together stakeholders in the region, including religious, political and traditional leaders, among other strategic leaders.
He said the town hall meeting will take place at the Festival hall in Government House, Benin City, noting that all was set for the successful hosting of the parley.
Kano approves new minimum wage for own varsities’ staff

Kano State Executive Council has given approval for the implementation of new minimum wage for academic and non-academic staff of the two state-owned universities with a monthly release of N49,695,509.26 million.
It, however, said that accumulated arrears from the time of the approval of the new salary structure to date would be determined pending improvement of the current financial situation in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, announced this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council meeting held at Africa House, Government House, Kano.

The Ogun State Government has commenced the inoculation of frontline health workers, citizens at all the major Primary Healthcare Centres in the State on Thursday.
A statement issued in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin said the need to ensure even, equitable and unhindered access to the vaccine informed the decision to take the vaccines to all the Primary Healthcare centres.

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kunle Oluomo has received his jab of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, as the state government commenced inoculation of citizens at all the major Primary Healthcare centres in the State.
A statement issued in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin said the need to ensure even, equitable and unhindered access to the vaccine informed the decision to take the vaccines to all the Primary Healthcare centres.
The statement noted that all the nurses and other community healthcare workers are being trained in the administration of the vaccines.
