And stand up for the gender equality but i also support people supporting Small Businesses owned by women. Reporter todays event is organized by the same group that put together the Womens Marchs in january. This strike will draw attention to inequalities of women in the work place and reproductive rights. We know the event is starting around 5 00, there is also a march expected around 5 30. There is going to be an illuminated banner that will say women strike. Any word where they are going to march . Reporter no word yet but they typically march to broadway, then to 19th and then they come down to the plaza. I want to mention that the Oakland Police department has officers out here.
