People across South London have been voting for who they would like to see as the next London mayor, and many have already made a firm decision in Pollards Hill. Labour’s Sadiq Khan is hoping to hold onto the mayoral role after being granted an additional year due to the local elections being postponed in 2020. Bookmakers say that Mr Khan is likely to win a second term, with Tory candidate Shaun Bailey predicted to be second in the race. Voters choose the mayor using the supplementary vote system, picking a first and a second preference for the job. We decided to visit a polling station at the New Horizon Centre in Pollards Hill, to hear resident s views about the London mayoral election.
