Chief executive of Hope For Africa, Hope Thabethe, said his campaign, characterised by walking barefoot for 40 days, will this year culminate in the handover of the school shoes to needy learners. “I did take an oath to walk barefoot for 40 days all day and night to show commitment to raise funds for school kids who don’t have proper school shoes, so that I can receive donations as a way of giving back to the community,” Thabethe told African News Agency (ANA).
