Her Excellency today received the Speaker of Queensland Parliament, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, Clerk of Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin, for the presentation of the three Bills, to which she granted Royal Assent.

On Monday, in the morning, at Holy Cross Primary School, Wooloowin, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended a tree planting ceremony in support of National Wattle Day. The Governor addressed guests and planted a tree. In the afternoon at Government House, Her Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, and Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin for the presentation of the Appropriation (Parliament) Bill 2022, the Appropriation Bill 2022, and the Trading (Allowable Hours) and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2022.
