Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Islamabad, January 21, 2021 (PPI-OT): The Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development in its meeting on Wednesday, discussed in detail an application addressed to Honourable Chairman Senate of Pakistan by Mr. Waseem Afzal Waraich, Ex-Director (BS-19) Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) against his removal from service. The matter was referred to the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. Chaired by Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, the meeting was attended by Senator Najma Hameed, Senator Sardar Muhammad Khan Nasar, Senator Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah, Senator Molvi Faiz Muhammad, Senator Muhammad Khalid Bizenjo and senior officers from the Ministry for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) along with all concerned.

Chairman National Accountability Bureau reviews NAB’s Performance Islamabad, December 19, 2020 (PPI-OT): Honourable Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal Chairman NAB chaired a meeting which was held at NAB Headquarters. Mr. Hussain Asghar, Deputy Chairman NAB, Syed Asghar Haider, Prosecutor General Accountability, Zahir Shah, Director General Operations, DG Rawalpindi attended the meeting whereas all DGs of regional bureaus attended the meeting via video link. The meeting reviewed the performance of NAB Headquarters and all regional bureaus. The Honourable Chairman NAB directed all regional bureaus to conduct complaint verifications, inquiries and investigations on the basis of solid evidence, statements of the accused and witnesses as per law. It was decided to impart capacity building training courses for investigation officers and prosecutors to further enhance their abilities on modern lines by adopting scientific techniques/methods as per law.
