Washington, D.C. – America250 , the nationwide commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 led by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission , has signed a National Partnership agreement with the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
Members of the Phillip Hamman Chapter, NSDAR, attended the 123rd State Conference of the Alabama Society Daughters of the American Revolution, held March 12-14 in Auburn, Ala. This historic conference was held utilizing a hybrid format, with a limited number of members on-site at the conference hotel and the remainder of the attendees participating from home via electronic means.
During the conference, members welcomed Lynn Forney Young of Texas, Honorary President General, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, as a special conference guest and Opening Night speaker. Mrs. Young also serves as a Commissioner with the United States Semiquincentennial Commission that was formed by Congress to plan and coordinate the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States is 2026.
