Tumkur, April 24: The construction of 8,000 classrooms and recruitment of 17,000 teachers by the Education department took place during the incumbent BJP government in Karnataka, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Sunday.

Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, ahead of the May 10 Assembly elections in the state, the incumbent CM said the other name of the grand old party was corruption.
