The Chinese territory has seen increased scrutiny from the mainland, with a step up in crackdowns and tighter regulations for the gaming sector.
The latest move came on Sunday, when police arrested and detained key Macau player Levo Chan (陳榮煉).
Chan is the founder of Tak Chun Group (德晉集團), the second-largest junket operator in the city serving as go-betweens to bring high rollers from the mainland to Macau’s glittering casinos.
