John Lee: Hong Kong will change its industrial structure and develop innovation and technology (I&T) into a key driving force for the economy. The first Hong Kong Laureate Forum opened today (13th) at the Hong Kong Science Park. Mr Lee said that a sustainable talent pool is a key element for the successful development of I&T. He mentioned that the University of Hong Kong ranked second in the just-released QS Asia University Rankings, and five other universities in Hong Kong were ranked among the top 5 universities in the world.
A world-class forum that has invited more than 200 scientists from different countries officially kicked off in Hong Kong on Monday, contributing to the city s endeavors to become an international innovation and technology center.
