In the women’s competition, Johnston Park proved too strong, winning its semifinal against Palmerston North 3-0, then played them again in the final and won 2-1. In division two Palmerston North caused an upset by winning the final against Shannon, who had been the form team all season. Foxton and Beach beat Takaro in the years 1-5 final.
