U.S. Transportation Command has delayed the rollout of new computer systems designed to help streamline the annual moving process for hundreds of thousands of military families and designate a single contractor to ship their household goods around the world.
Spokespeople for TRANSCOM and HomeSafe Alliance told Military.com this week that a date for the first shipment under the Global Household Goods Contract still hadn’t been set. The goal remained to make it happen in 2023.
