Time will be set aside for sharing testimonies and expressions of gratitude. All are welcome at this hour-long service.
In the pause between the state and federal August primary and the November general election, the city of Homer holds its election on Oct. 4 for Homer mayor and two Homer City Council member seats.
Rotary Club of Homer-Kachemak Bay President Kim Zook presented a check for $2,000 on Aug. 9 to Sara Murnane Berg and Ed Berg for the Loved &Lost Memorial Bench fund managed by Homer United Methodist Church. This donation was made possible by a matching grant from the Rotary International Foundation.
In the two and a half years that Anesha “Duffy” Murnane was missing, community members near and far surrounded her family with love and support in so many ways — providing meals, participating in searches, vigils and memorial walks, sending cards, hosting flyers, banners, donation jars and community presentations, planting blue flowers, and wearing blue ribbons in her honor. Thank you all.
