During a special meeting Wednesday night, the Homer-Center School Board approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Homer Centeral Educational Support Professionals.
Details on the agreement were not announced, but the deal is a five-year agreement that will run through the end of the 2026 school year. Superintendent Curtis Whitesel did talk about the biggest part of the agreement, which focused on their salaries.
In other business, the board approved with regret the resignation of elementary principal Holly Rougeaux, as she has taken an administrative position with the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District. Special Education Director Beth Genchur was named the interim elementary principal until the end of the school year.
