While there s still a long way to go in terms of diversity of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation, the acting categories alone represent a broad selection of performers, from newcomers to veterans and everything in between. Sometimes actors land the role that will win them their Little Gold Man early; sometimes they act for years before it arrives out of nowhere. Other times, it arrives at the very end of their careers, whether they know it at the time or not.
