Reddit co-founder and venture capitalist Alexis Ohanian and Tiffany Zhong the founder of creator startup Islands will tackle the burgeoning NFT market in a new podcast called Probably Nothing. The co-hosts will cover NFT news, deep dives, and interviews with leaders in the space. The show launches today, with future installments to roll out weekly right here, as well as on Apple and Spotify. Upcoming guests will include: Bobby Hundreds, founder of the Adam Bomb Squad NFT project; Playboy CMO Rachel Webber, Time president Keith Grossman, YouTuber and crypto enthusiast Michelle Phan, Wengie, and Christie’s NFT lead Noah Davis. There’s some consternation afoot within YouTube’s Trusted Flagger program, which the video giant launched in 2012 to clamp down on violative content. The program sees YouTube partnering with third-parties including individual volunteers, governmental agencies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and providing them with special tools to help enforce its Community Guidelines. These include: a bulk-flagging tool to report multiple videos at the same time, visibility into decisions on flagged content, prioritized reviews, and feedback on various content areas on YouTube. The Trusted Flagger program is invite-only for individuals, with YouTube looking for those who have flagged a large volume of videos with a high rate of accuracy. Organizations can apply to the program by contacting their local YouTube reps. Ecommerce platform Shopify has announced a new integration with music streamer Spotify to propagate merch sales. Now, artists can connect their Shopify shops directly to their Spotify profiles to sell their merch and beyond. The new tools also enable artists and their teams to manage inventory and control which items are featured on their profiles. While the capability to link accounts is now available to all artists globally, Shopify merch will only be visible to listeners in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand, as the program is still in beta. Artists can sign up via their Spotify For Artists accounts a fan development platform on Spotify that the streamer says is used by more than 1 million artists, managers, and labels each month. TikTok model and activist Amelie Zilber has landed a new roundtable talk show at Facebook, following a growing line of TikTokers launching longer-form ventures on the social network in collaboration with digital studio Brat. Don’t @ Me, bowing on Oct. 21, will see Zilber sit down with a panel of Gen Z activists including Vanessa Pena, Zahra, and Taylor Cassidy to discuss the biggest issues facing today’s youth. Each of the 11 episodes will touch on a different topic from voter registration to racial discrimination to climate change. Panelists will also delve into their personal experiences and answer questions via DM.
