Utter silence. Deafening silence. Perhaps you can understand why israel is not joining you in celebrating this deal. If irans rulers were working to destroy your countries, perhaps you would be less enthusiastic about the deal. If irans terror proxies were firing thousands of rockets at your cities, perhaps youd be more measured in your praise. And if this deal were unleashing a Nuclear Arms Race in your neighborhood, perhaps youd be more reluctant to celebrate. But dont think that everyone is only a danger to israel. Toa run is only a danger israel. Besides its aggression in the middle east and terror around the world, it ran is building building Ballistic Missiles whose sole purpose is to carry nuclear warheads. Remember this. Iran already has missiles that can reach israel, so does intercontinental Ballistic Missiles are not meant for us. They arer you meant for you. For europe. For america. For raining down mass destruction, anytime, anywhere. It is not gentlemen, easy to oppose so
I dont think any of you are being told your resources are going to increase when you have more refugees. So at the most fundamental level, im trying to figure out how you absorb this within the current rate of funding that you have without something giving. One of those things that may give could be the very important thing that we all have an obligation to ensure, and that is the safety and security of the homeland. There is going to be handoff between the various agencies. How do we make sure with this increased pressure that we dont make a mistake that could put our homeland at risk. And i will start with maybe Homeland Security . I was going to start with numbers, because thats perhaps the easier part of the question. Just to be clear, our goal, the target, the ceiling is 85,000. Within that 85,000 we are striving to admit 10,000 syrians. That is not a cap. Have, y question i secretary carey said, it is a ceiling. It is not a ceiling, it is a floor. That suggests to me language tha
I saw a very distraught driver who was you know, obviously, appeared to be the driver of the accident and just from talking to people i understood that you know she clearly hit two people in the crosswalk. I looked outside the store there were a couple fire trucks, a couple police cars. Reporter the women were at the crosswalk when the driver of the murano plowed into them. Witnesses tell fox 25 moments after the crash the two women werent even moving. The driver of the car was seen panicking. She looked to be a woman in maybe her late 50s early 60s. I mean its so hard she was clearly distraught. Really kind of hard to see her face. She was visibly upset. So i couldnt really see her she hands were in her face. Reporter you now investigators are trying to figure out was it really sun glare. When i looked towards the direction the sun was setting so im sure the sun was in her eyes. Clearly appeared to be an accident. I just felt terrible for all parties involved. Reporter so tonight we c
The things we do with the budget resolution, on the bus appropriation bill, separate appropriation bills that follow, sequestration across the board cuts to allow agencies, departments, to allocate their resources. Hopefully that will enable us to look at risks, areas of risk, put more money there and areas of risks put less money there but in terms of what we can do to help you do your work better, give us one good idea. I will start. Having answered my question, you had given my response and it is recognizing that this country there are a number of risks that we face. Is a large country and part of the conversation we have to have, the department of Homeland Security administration and lawmakers and American Public is we cant mitigate every threat so it is understanding those that have the most significant consequences and ensuring we are having a conversation, mitigating them, personnel to go about doing that so having the conversation that we have today over the course of time, wha
