They just the independent committee took a look at the trial. They found 94 confirmed cases of the covid19 in the trial and they found a difference in the Placebo Group and the vaccine group. They also said they saw no serious safety concerns in the trial. Theyre going to he mass two months of safety followup which for half the people in the trial getting their second shot which will take them into the third week of november that is next week after which time they will file with the fachl
Hey, melissa, these results were so much better, and if all went really well melissa, we have 90 of efficacy with this trial and this Covid Vaccine from pfizer. This is a 44,000participant trial. The way they measure efficacy is how many cases of covid they see in the trial they want to see more cases in the placebo arm than the vaccine arm, to show that the vaccine is protective thats what they saw to the opportunity of 90 efficacy. They said they saw no serious safety concerns, and they will proceed to the end of the twomonth safety followup window before they would seek emergency use authorization. That will happen next week after that we could see them proceeding for regulatory clearance. There are still questions remains. Er earlier today the dow was up 1600 plus points. We almost got to 30,000. Came within 70 points of 30,000 mark. Looked like we might get there at one point and then we started to dip and fall off of that. 835 point gain which is nearly 3 is nothing to sneeze at for the dow.
