Premier Doug Ford’s government was called on to pass a 14-day sick-leave motion, Bill 239. But the government voted against the measure aimed at supporting essential workers.
After voting down the proposed plan of 14 days, the government introduced legislation to require employers to provide three paid sick days for employees if they miss work due to COVID-19.
