Home Grown Kids pre-schoolers discover what a firefighter does in a visit to the Timaru Fire Station.
A group of children from Home Grown Kids childcare were wowed by a visit to the Timaru Fire Station on Thursday. The home based childcare’s visiting teacher, Sonya Bennison, said it was a way for the 21 children aged between one and four to make connections and not be afraid of uniforms but learn that the firefighters are local heroes and are there to help.
