doug brinkley went to research his book. we talked about the eagle s nest in our discussion with doug brinkley about his book on conservation. it s right over your shoulder there. when did that start? well, about five years ago we had a pair of bald eagles that came in, started trying to build a nest. the first season they didn t do a very good job. but the second season they came back, tried again. and they succeeded in building that nest. they had two eaglets that year, one died and the other one fledged out. what does this have to do with the business you re in? well, until very recently, the american bald eagle was an endangered species. and it s because of work by the fish and wildlife service and by many other conservation groups that it was actually taken off the endangered species list about a year ago. so, it s a good i think it s a good model for us to aspire to, where critters that were almost gone off the face of the earth had come back. mark masters,
