SAN ANTONIO - This January, the San Antonio Public Library and the Holocaust Memorial Museum invite you to learn about a crucial chapter of history and explore
For 11 years, the San Antonio Public Library has presented a series titled “The Holocaust Learn and Remember.” This year the program focuses on censorship and how the Nazi regime controlled information in order to suppress Jewish people and other persecuted groups. The timeliness of this theme is a reminder of current censorship efforts across the state. Texas currently leads the nation with the most banned books in school districts and libraries.
This Holocaust Remembrance Day, San Antonians can hear about the experiences of escaping the Holocaust and adjusting to life in a foreign land from the son of a Holocaust survivor.

SAN ANTONIO – It is Holocaust Remembrance Week across the state of Texas, so the San Antonio public libraries are doing their part to to educate students and adults alike about the Holocaust.
The goal of remembrance week is to inspire a sense of responsibility, all while recognizing and upholding human value to help prevent future atrocities.
